ASSOCIATE PASTOR / STUDENT MINISTER JOB DESCRIPTION

First Baptist Church of Bowling Green strives to be Christ centered, Gospel driven, joyfully united and prayerfully obedient. We are looking for an Associate Pastor/Student Minister who will share our vision and develop, promote and coordinate activities that are age appropriate for students from K-12 grade. 

 

We are looking for a passionate, relational and fun leader with a heart for students and families to build up a growing and healthy next generation of leaders and disciples for Jesus Christ.

 

In this position, you will oversee all of our student ministries and coordinate all student volunteer leadership. You will plan and implement the Sunday morning & evening and Wednesday evening youth meetings, as well as organize and lead any other youth outreach or events. You will create and present annually a budget for student ministries. 

 

You will schedule time to regularly meet with students at their schools and develop relationships with parents and school faculty. You will train and involve students and student leaders in outreach to students/families. You will involve students in ministry - within the church, the community and in mission projects. 

 

Qualifications desired:

• Profess Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior

• Adheres to The Baptist Faith & Message (2000 Southern Baptist Convention)

• Bachelor's degree (preferably a seminary degree)

• Minimum 3 years experience working in youth ministry
